Impactful wintry weather, mostly in the form of freezing rain,
will continue for the Central Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic
states. A batch of mixed precipitation this morning should move
eastward across Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware by this afternoon
with increased chances for rain as temperatures warm up through
the day. Another round of moisture will move in from the south
across similar areas of the Appalachians and the Mid-Atlantic.
Temperatures hovering near freezing will bring a threat for
freezing rain with the current forecast calling for additional ice
accumulations of 0.1-0.25, mainly in the high country of Virginia.
After this evening, warm air advection ahead of another system
moving in from the southern part of the country should warm
temperatures enough to make all precipitation rain, but northern
areas in Pennsylvania may see some threats for mixed precipitation
Thursday.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 PM EST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
