are in effect over the Northeast and western New England.

Ice Storm Warnings are in effect over the central Alleghenies.

A swath of Winter Weather Advisories are in effect from the
Northern Plains and Upper Midwest. A separate area of Winter
Weather Advisories extends across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Winter Storm Watches are in effect for portions of the Interior
Northeast and New England.

At 800 PM CST...Radar and surface observations across the Northern
Plains and Upper Midwest depicted an expansive band of moderate
snowfall translating eastward on the cold side of an west-east
oriented stationary front.

Storm total snowfall of 4-8 inches are expected through the Plains
and Midwest tonight and tomorrow as the storm tracks eastward.
Late Saturday into Sunday, the storm system will move towards the
East Coast and produce icy mixed precipitation in the Mid-Atlantic
and heavy snow in the Northeast. Areas affected by heavy snow or
ice may experience hazardous travel conditions through the weekend.
