Moderate to heavy rain and mountain snowfall should begin to wind
down tonight into Wednesday for most of California and southern
Oregon as the cold front passes through the region. An additional
1-2 inches of rain is possible over the next 12 hours along
coastal areas and down into southern California as the boundary
moves through. The Sierra Nevada mountain range may see 3-4 inches
of precipitation in the form of rain and snow as a heavier band of
precipitation was moving through the region as of this evening.
The northern Rockies will continue to see the chances of heavy to
moderate snow for the day Wednesday. Some wind gusts in the 20-30
mph range are also possible in California as the system moves
through the area.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 700 AM PST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
