Bitterly cold Arctic air will grip the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast
through the first half of the week with high temperatures only in
the single digits and teens. Combined with gusty winds, wind
chills will frequently dip below zero. The northwesterly winds
will also produce additional snow showers for the typical upslope
regions of the Appalachians and downwind of the Great Lakes.
This will be the last Storm Summary issued by the Weather
Prediction Center for this event. Please refer to your local
National Weather service office for additional information.
