At 800 AM CST...Regional radar and surface observations across the
Lower Mississippi Valley and the Southeast depict widespread
moderate to heavy snow, freezing rain, and rain associated with an
area of low pressure located along the Louisiana Coast.

Areas of light to moderate snow will continue to make its way
eastward with continuing impacts across the Lower Mississippi
Valley, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic through Saturday evening.
Snowfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches is expected in the
Tennessee Valley and Southern/Central Appalachians. Light snowfall
of around 1 to 3 inches is also expected to affect the Ohio Valley
and northern portions of the Mid-Atlantic. Sleet and ice is also
expected with accumulations in excess of 0.25 inches possible in
the Southeast through Saturday.
