Winter Weather Advisories are active across the Upper Mississippi
Valley and parts of Northern New England.

Ice Storm Warnings are active across northern Wisconsin, the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan and parts of the northern Lower Peninsula of
Michigan, Upstate New York, and portions of interior New England.

Winter Storm Warnings are active across parts of the Upper Great
Lakes and interior New England

At 1000 AM EDT...Radar shows a broad plume of precipitation
stretching from Northern/Central Plains eastward to coastal New
England. The ongoing precipitation is a mix of rain, ice, and
snow. At the surface, a 1000 mb (29.53 in Hg) surface low is
located over eastern Iowa. The associated boundary extends from
the Southern Plains to the Middle Mississippi Valley and then
roughly eastward to the Mid-Atlantic Coast. A rather stark
temperature contrast is present along the boundary with
temperatures in the 60s south of the front versus temperatures in
the 30s north of the boundary.

A wave of low pressure over the Middle Mississippi Valley will
move northeastward across the Great Lakes, into Southeastern
Canada by Monday morning. Areas of Minnesota and northern
Wisconsin will see the threats for additional snow and ice
accumulations during Sunday into early Monday. However, the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan will see the heaviest st snow fall with 4 to
8 inches. There will be freezing rain accumulations from Wisconsin
into northern Michigan and over Northern New England with around
half an inch of ice accumulations across portions of the eastern
Upper Peninsula of Michigan and parts of the White Mountains in
New Hampshire. Power outages and hazardous travel conditions will
be for the remainder of the storm. For New England and upstate New
York, snow and freezing rain will be ongoing into Sunday morning,
with similar threats of difficult travel and isolated power
outages. Temperatures will be more marginal for winter weather by
Sunday afternoon across this region.
