Heavy mountain snow will continue to result in hazardous travel
for many of the mountain ranges across the West and Intermountain
West tonight into Friday. The strong March storm will then emerge
and rapidly deepen across the central and northern Great Plains
Friday into Saturday, bringing a wide range of hazards to the
region including heavy snow, strong winds, and the potential for
blizzard conditions. South of the storm, winter concerns shift to
damaging wind gusts, extremely critical fire weather, and strong
to severe thunderstorms.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM MDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
