The storm system will continue to progress eastward across the
Inter-Mountain West and begin to enter the Great Plains by Friday
and Saturday. Some locally heavy rainfall and snowfall may linger
across California this afternoon, but the majority of impacts will
focus on the Inter-Mountain West and Rockies for snowfall Friday
and then the Great Plains for Saturday as heavy snow and strong
winds, 40-70 mph, with isolated gusts of 90 mph, create hazardous
travel and possible blizzard conditions.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 PM MDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
