...Snow comes to an end across the Tidewaters of Virginia and
North Carolina tonight as low pressure exits off the Mid-Atlantic
coast...

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect across portions of the Central
Appalachians, southern Delmarva, southeast Virginia and northeast
North Carolina.

Winter Weather Advisories are in effect from the central
Appalachians to the Mid-Atlantic.

At 900 PM EST...National Weather Service doppler radar and surface
observations showed widespread moderate to heavy snow falling
across southern Delmarva and southeast Virginia, with lighter
snows across northeast North Carolina. Just to the south, snow
transitioned to an icy mix of sleet and freezing rain across
southern North Carolina and northeast South Carolina.

Snow, sleet, and freezing rain will come to an end across the
tidewaters of Virginia and North Carolina by late tonight or early
Thursday morning as strengthening low pressure exits out to sea.
In the wake of the winter storm, much colder air and upslope snow
showers will persist across portions of the Central Appalachians
and Mid-Atlantic through the day on Thursday.
