The strong storm system will continue to rapidly strengthen as it
tracks through the Ohio Valley and into the Northeast tonight into
Sunday. The storm is expected to bring a wide range of weather
hazards to the region including heavy rain and flooding, strong to
severe thunderstorms, icy mixed precipitation, heavy snow, and
gusty, potentially damaging winds. The storm will exit the region
Sunday night into Monday, leaving behind much colder air and
scattered snow showers downwind of the Great Lakes and across the
higher elevations of the Northeast in its wake.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM EST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
