Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic depict widespread moderate to
heavy snowfall and freezing rain within the comma-head region of
an elongated cyclone analyzed near the Appalachians.

Severe travel disruptions will continue as snowfall and icing
persist over the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic today as the
major winter storm migrates east. In the wake of this storm,
dangerously cold temperatures are expected to creep in over the
Central Plains and Mississippi and Ohio Valleys, especially over
snowpack and icy areas.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 PM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
