Missouri to western Kentucky.
Blizzard warnings are active across northeastern Kansas and
western Missouri.
Winter Storm Warnings are in effect across the Central Plains into
the Mid-Atlantic.

At 800 PM CST...A 1002 mb (29.58 in Hg) area of low pressure was
moving eastward across central Tennessee. Radar and surface
observations show a wide swath of snowfall west to east from
eastern Kansas to Virginia. Areas in Kansas and Missouri are under
a Blizzard Warning valid through 12:00 AM CST as visibilities will
be low with blowing snow and gusty winds. Areas in the southern
Ohio Valley are seeing mixed precipitation and icing hazards will
be possible in this region. In the warm sector, a line of strong
thunderstorms is moving across the southeast along and ahead of a
cold front.

This major winter storm will continue over the Central Plains,
Mid-Mississippi Valley, and Ohio Valley and cause severe travel
disruptions with continued heavy snowfall and icing. The system
will move eastward and impacts will begin in the overnight across
the Mid-Atlantic region, leading to substantial impacts into the
day Monday.
