The Clipper system will track across the Central Appalachians
today while weakening, and the energy from the low will be
absorbed by a low offshore in the Atlantic tonight or Saturday
morning. Lingering snow will taper off tonight for the Great
Lakes, and snow will continue for portions of the central
Appalachians through Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon,
focus will shift to the strengthening offshore low that will
likely bring wintry precipitation to New England.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 PM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
