over the northern Plains was beginning to nudge east into the
Upper Midwest. West-northwesterly winds were blowing across the

Lake effect snow is forecast to continue in the Great Lakes
tonight, then long-awaited relief is expected on Tuesday as high
pressure approaches the region and winds become southwesterly.
Lake effect snow will still be possible, but favored locations
will be on the northeastern sides of the lakes instead of the hard
hit southeastern sides. Travel conditions will improve but may
still be hazardous in locations that received multiple feet of
snow.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM EST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
