Snowfall of varying intensity is expected to continue through, the
remainder of today across the Front Range and adjacent High Plains
of New Mexico and Colorado, with 6-12 inches of additional
accumulation likely for some of the more impacted areas through
midnight. There will likely be a brief abatement in the snowfall
coverage and intensity Thursday night before the next round
materializes over much of eastern Colorado Friday afternoon and
persisting into early Saturday, followed by a drying trend
Saturday night and beyond. Storm total accumulations on the order
of 20-30 inches are possible for the Sangre de Cristo mountains
and locations just east of that range.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 800 PM MST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
