...Helene continues to weaken as widespread significant river
flooding continues across the southern Appalachians...
Flood and Flash Flood Warnings as well as Flood Advisories are in
effect for portions of the Southeast as well as the central and
southern Appalachians.

At 1000 AM EDT...Post-tropical cyclone Helene continues to weaken
and linger over western KY/TN. National Weather Service doppler
radar currently shows a broad shield of light to locally moderate
rain which extends across much of the Ohio/Tennessee Valley.
Despite rain coming to an end across some of the surrounding
areas, widespread significant river flooding, some of which is
record-breaking, continues across parts of the southern
