Flood Watches are active for north Alabama, the Appalachians of
Georgia, Tenneessee, North Carolina, and southern Virginia.

At 1000 PM EDT...Hurricane Helene will pick up forward motion in
the Gulf of Mexico and bring the threats of heavy rain, storm
surge, and damaging winds to the Florida Gulf Coast Thursday and
Friday before spreading impacts into the interior Southeast.
National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a plume of
moisture ahead of Helene with pockets of heavy rain from the
Florida Big Bend to the southern Appalachians.
